We are pleased to announce the International Congress on Charles Sanders Peirce: Peirce in Istanbul, which will be held on October 23-24, 2025. This event is organized by the Istanbul University Faculty of Letters Philosophy Department, Institute for the Study of American Philosophy and Semiotics, Association for Research in Logic, and Anatolian Association for Semiotic Studies.
Charles Sanders Peirce, regarded as the founder of multiple disciplines such as pragmatism, symbolic logic, and semiotics, is a pivotal figure in philosophy. The aim of the congress is to explore Peirce’s rich intellectual legacy through an interdisciplinary viewpoint and to provide a platform for comprehensive discussions on his philosophical contributions.
Distinguished scholars working on Peirce will deliver keynote speeches, providing valuable insights into his thought. Additionally, the papers presented at the congress will be published as a book following an editorial process.
We warmly invite you to participate in this congress, which promises to enrich the academic discourse on Peirce. Your contributions will significantly enhance the scholarly depth and international scope of this event.

Participation and Submission Guidelines
- Abstract submissions must be sent to [email protected] by the specified deadline.
- Abstracts should be between 250 and 300 words and are expected to be original and academic in nature.
- Accepted papers will undergo an editorial review process and will be published in the congress proceedings. Please ensure that submissions adhere to the specified formatting guidelines, which will be provided in due course.
- Once the conference program is finalized, no changes to the session details will be possible.
Accommodation and Transportation
- Accommodation and transportation expenses are the responsibility of the participants.
Audience Participation
- Attendance as an audience member does not require prior registration or a fee.
